I suggest you contact the Ga Forestry Commission office in your county and ask one of their Foresters to come out to your land and give you advice on what to plant. The kind depends on the soil type on your land and what will grow best. The State Commission forester can also advice you on the availabliity of cost share funding to help with the cost of planting seedlings. Here is the web link to the Ga.
