AnswerThe best I can determine is winged euonymus, Euonymus alatus sometines called Burning Bush because of its red foliage in the Fall. Here is a link to a web site that gives more information. There are several kinds the one discribed has wings on the twigs. http://www.cnr.vt.edu/DENDRO/dendrology/syllabus/factsheet.cfm?ID=282
The other guess was one of the anise trees but the leaves do not match real close but it does have this type fruit. I will stay with the burning bush as my choice
Wahoo!!! Yes I think you have the right one Euonymus atropurpureus here is a link http://www.hort.purdue.edu/newcrop/herbhunters/wahoo.html
