QuestionHello,
I know this may be rather unchallenging to your extensive knowledge of all things foresty, but I would like an answer/answers all the same, please.
What are the average dimensions (length from top the bottom & width from left to right) of a brown dried oak leaf in the Fall, and how would you describe its shape?
Thanks,
Glenn Houston.
AnswerThere is not one size for "oak leaves'. They vary from small round to slender to large lobed. Here is a site that describes the oaks and in most cases gives the size based on individual species http://www.ag.auburn.edu/hort/landscape/leafid/list.php?vwi=bm9uZQ==
Here is another excelllent site that will give you more information http://forestry.about.com/cs/treeid/a/the_oak.htm
