QuestionI need to identify several kinds of trees by their leaves. for instance, the leaves are 3-5 inches in length, branched veins, fairly fine saw teeth, ovular in shape, with bark that is fairly deeply ridged.
do you need more info than that?

AnswerI can not ID the leaves from the discription you gave--it would greatly help if I knew the location of the trees--US, Asia, Southern or Western US etc. Also a picture would be great. Go to the web site www.forestry.about.com and ask the guide--Steve Nix for help posting the picture on the Forestry Forum. If I can not ID the leaf from a picture there are other foresters on that site from different parts of the world who can help.
