Hello
I live in Sedona Az and we have many trees in our yard, junipers etc.
I heard there is a way to inject the trees, or the soil with some nutrition (some of them have partially brownish , (not green anymore) leaves.
I know nothing about it. What kind, how much, how often?
Any ideas, please?
Thanks, Gabe

You can use an all around fertilizer. I would use 13-13-13. Put about two lbs per diameter (the diameter of the tree trunk) scatter the fertilizer under the tree within the dripline (outline of the foliage of the tree) but not within 12 inches of the trunk. Water in the fertilizer until it has desolved. Repeat htis in about two months.
Hello
Is 13-13-13 the name of the fertelizer?
Thank you, Gabriel
Answer -
Not the brand name but the chemical make up of the fertilizer--go to a garden type store or Walmart and ask for 13-13-13 fertilizer they will know.
Last one, please, do you know where to buy tree injections to treat bark beatle - I suppose I need it for my pinion trees. Also, can I hurt the tree if I treat it for bark beatle and it doesn't have it? not sure as to how to diagnoze it for sure....
Thanks again, Gabe
AnswerThe question I have is why would you want to inject insecticides into a tree? The process is expensive, will damage the tree and depending on the tree and the insect does not do a good job. If you want to protect your tree I would recommend spraying the tree with an insecticide called Onyx. IF there is no beetle activity in your area I would not spray. Even though Onyx will prevent attack IF there is nothing to attack (no beetle population) why waste the money or why spray insecticide not needed. I would recommend you call the AZ. Forestry Agency and ask one of their Foresters to come out and advice you IF spraying is needed. Here in the Southern US this is a free service I am not sure of West.
