Question
I have 4 beautiful 20' royal Palm trees with lush green leaves. One of the trees is not growing any new shoots /fronds. It is green and the trunk looks good. Any ideas?

Hi Jen, Palms send out new fronds at different intervals, it depends on the individual Palm; the healthier the quicker you see new ones, but the fact that the existing fronds are healthy  (and I am assuming full size) is a good sign that there is nothing seriously wrong. when a new frond does emerge, make certain that it is the same size as a spike that previous ones were and not stunted, that is one of the major signs of trouble, the other would be existing fronds wilting or showing signs of deficiency or fungal issues.
