Hi Vee , That is usually an indication of lack of humidity, which Palms need; If its growing inside it is definitely the issue, and you need to mist it daily to keep the area around it humid. If it is happening outside it could still be, for being where you are, it really isn't humid yet...come Summer the problem will disappear, so for now, mist it there also on a daily basis. I am assuming that you are giving it proper water, never let the container dry out and also it is getting sufficient light through a window..Nick
