mexican petunias problem

Question
mexican petunias
mexican petunias
I have attached a picture of my plantthat has these small  whatever on some of the stems, the plant is healthy and I get flowers every morning. Would you be able to tell me what it is?

Thanks

Answer
Its either Scale insect or Whitefly larvae,,,,both can be eradicated with "Parafine Oil"...Home Depot usually carry it as does most Hardware stores; it is an oil based product that suffocates the insect without using poison. Spray it on (after mixing per instructions..) late afternoon, let it work overnight and then the next morning get your hose with the nozzle set on stream, and wash off the residual oil along with the dead insect....repeat that evening and you should be all set.
