QuestionI recently moved from Wisconsin to Ocala Florida. The jade was an inside plant in Wisconsin. I've been in Florida for 2 months
now and it's been outside for a short period of time. now I'm getting black spots on the leaves but it doesn't seem to be causing the leaves to be falling off. Can you me and tell me if you can identify the problem and how to rectify the problem.
Thank you,
Linda M. lee
AnswerYour jade is suffering from a fungal problem, caused by the Florida rainy season; Jades need very little water,,,and it is getting too much too fast. Move it to a location where it is out of the bulk of the rain and it should be fine, and make sure that it is draining properly...if in a container,,,that the water catch at the bottom is removed.
