Question
i have a musa rowe red it is in side will it grow well inside how often should i water will it grow fruit.it is in the sun about 6 hrs i there anything special i should know this is my frist time with a banana plant thanks

Hi William, first of all,,,it will be very hard pressed to even put out an inflorescence (prelude to fruit), and if it did,the fruit would be stunted because of the growing conditions; Bananas need a large area to develop the underground Corm (Rhizome) and all but the largest of pots will fail, it will grow and if kept moist and well fertilized, will grow , but not to its full capability. They need to be in the ground, outside with full Sun and plenty of fertilizer and water; this will cause salt build up in a pot, and you will need to continually change out the soil. Nick
