We live in Tucson AZ about a year ago I got 2 windmill palms and they have been doing fine. I have irrigation to them and use miracle grow palm fertilizer every 3-4 months. Recently the palms all look withered and brown. The heart is still putting shoots up, but they don't last long once they open. This is currently happening on both of our palm trees, and started at exactly the same time. The trees are 6 feet apart.
AnswerThe fact that they both began to decline simultaneously is indicitive of something that has either leached into the soil or was inadvertantly spilled there. If one was declining and the other not, then it would open other possibilities. You may also have developed a bad sprinkler head there that is either leaking too much water or not enough.
