Fox Tail palm cold damage

Question
I live in Houston and have three foxtail palms that are about twelve feet tall top to bottom (planted over a year ago).  We had snow for a day that did a number on much of my landscaping then a few weeks later a hard freeze (20 degrees overnight) that did even more damage.  My foxtail leaves turned immediately brown from the snow, but now two weeks after the freeze I noticed sap running down the trunks of my foxtails.  No signs of Florida borers which the internet listed as a probable cause.  Is there hope for my foxtails or should I be budgeting on a different kind of replacement palm?

Answer
Hi Jason, its not borers, they are bleeding from the severe cold stress, (yes Palms bleed..when exposed to trauma, be it lightening strikes, nails or severe cold entering the internal membranes), all you can do at this point, is maintain proper irrigation and hope the damage isn't irreversible.
