All of my foxtails limbs are completely brown from the freeze we had here in largo Fl. Got down to 27 degrees that night. Should I cut all the limbs off in spring? or just leave them alone. They are 20 to 25 feet tall. Same problem with fishtail and Areca palms

Hi Gladys, the rule of thumb when it comes to removing Palm fronds, whether during a cold spell or not, is "if the frond is completely brown, then remove it, if there is any green at all left showing, then LEAVE IT!, for it is still functioning, and during a cold stress situation, they need all the help they can get...Nick
