QuestionHi, My Bougenvilla flowered exceptionally well last year, but had not one bloom this summer. I live in NE Pa. It was outside on my deck with full sunlight. Any reason? Also, any care advice for an Oleander growing inside, please? Thank you very much!
AnswerHi Barb, usually when Bougs don't display their usual colorful bracts (they are not flowers..) it is because of too much irrigation, if you had a Summer with exceptionally high rainfall, then this is more then likely the reason; other reasons are insect problems, but more times then not, too much water. Oleanders inside need to be near a Sunny window, and misted frequently to provide a simulation of Humidity and deter Spider Mites; water when dry only and fertilize with a Soluble (Miracle-Grow, Peters) once every month at half strength.
