Question
I just bought a beautiful Bouganvilla plant 2 weeks ago from a local nursery.  It was full of flowers.  I have it sitting in my dining room in front of a large french door that faces West. All of the flowers have dropped and so are the leaves.  I bought my mom one the week before and she said her plant has dropped nearly all of its leaves.  What are we doing wrong?  The plant gets enough water and fertilizer.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Hi Stacy, Bougs are very sensitive to a change in environment and watering; they do not like much water, and will defoliate if given too much (that being an amount that isn't too much for most plants...). Make certain it is in a location that gets plenty of Sunlight and water only when dry; it should send out new growth for you (..and your Mom), when it adjusts. Nick
