Hello Nick,

             My banana plant is in a container in full sun. I feed a slow release fertilizer by Osmocote 19/6/9 with micronutrients. It is so odd how fast this problem came on. The leaves are deformed with white sections that have fallen off. It is very strange I have never seen it before.

Hi Jamie, I have never successfully been able to develop a Banana in a container to maturity without problems; they just don't fare well in a cramped root area, the Corm (undeground Rhizome) needs plenty of space to develop and expand, and even the largest of containers eventually stress the plant. They have a variety (Super Dwarf Cavandish) which is supposed to do well in a container, but even it eventually stunts and stresses when planted in one. Nick
