Questionour plant was doing great and all the sudden the flowered part dyed, it was outside and we think got to much water due rainy season in florida. could to much water make it die off and should we cut off the dead leaf with the dead flower.
AnswerHi Kathy, its pretty tough to kill a Bird with too much water, they love moisture; that said, it is quite normal for a flower to look like its dying, when in fact ,it is simply withering from age. The normal procedure is , when a flower browns out and shrivels, to cut it off, otherwise it will remain on the stem, looking aesthetically non- pleasing. Nick
