Questionwhen do you know when to repot a cat palm and a peace lily. i know some plants like to be root bound.
AnswerHi Carol, normally I repot when the plant begins to show signs of stress, albeit slight, look for anything out of the ordinary; if the plant begins to show any signs at all, then by all means do it, it can only be productive. Checking the drainage holes for roots is another good sign;I change out my soil every year regardless, for fertilizer will build up salts in the soil, which will lead to decline. Bottom line, every year, unless it shows signs before hand. Nick
