QuestionHi! Have recently ordered both a purple passion (gyurna) and two hindu rope plants, and would appreciate instruction concerning their care. As I have MS, all my gardening is now indoors, but I have a shelving unit with flourescent lithts placed near north-facing windows.
Thank you for any help you can give, as I really love what I've seen online of both these plants and will be thrilled to propagate from cuttings and make lots and lots of them!
AnswerHi Becky, They both like bright light, so the closer to a window, the better; water them when the soil is dry to touch but don't allow the roots to sit in any standing water (so have good drainage). Pinch the tips occasionally to encourage new growth and fertilize once a month with a Soluble like Miracle-Grow or Peters. They are really very easy to care for, just mist them frequently to deter Spider Mites, and you should do just fine. Nick
