QuestionAbout a month ago I bought a pygmy date palm tree, it came in one container, and there were four of them in that container. We split them up and planted them in four different spots around our front yard. We gave them water daily, and now they are beginning to turn yellow and the end stems are turning brown; they are also drooping. I am giving them more water now, but i do not want them to die. What should I do?
AnswerWhen you separated them you disturbed the roots and this weakened them, so watering them probably set into motion root stress; back off the watering in hope that the roots may repair themselves, especially if the soil base is holding water, if not, make certain that drainage is good to disperse excess water from the roots.
