QuestionFirst thanks for helping.
I have had this majesty palm tree plant for about a month.
the outside fronds are browning and the new fronds are brown on the tips.I dont see any mites or such.I thought that it was root bound and have re potted it in a bigger pot. I rinsed the soil real good and of course added more potting soil.Is there any thing else I should do to help this palm I named buddy.
AnswerHi John, Buddy is just letting you know that he is tropical by nature, and this means he needs humidity; frequent misting of the fronds will stop this from occurring on the new fronds that emerge. The ones that are brown tipped now will remain so, but watch the new fronds that form, and keep Buddy misted and this should curtail the problem. Other reasons for this is fertilizer burn, over watering, or too much direct sun magnifying through a window, but normally, its just a case of too dry an environment. Nick
