Questionhi.
my bop was doing great for awhile and then the flowers started curling in, and nothing happened growth wise for awhile. then it started growing again and i have new growth as well as the old growth.
the backs of the leaves are sticky.
is this ok? should i cut back the old leaves?
it gets good sunlight and the temp is right.
help!
AnswerHi Tina, the sticky residue is from insect secretions, probably spider mites, the most common "indoor" culprit; Take some household Isopropyl Alcohol and put it in a spray container and spray it down, this will kill the mites. The next morning take the Bird outside and wash off the dead insects and residual alcohol. In the future, mist the Bird frequently, and this will deter the mites. Nick
