QuestionI bought my Croton last summer and it did beautifully until the Fall. Then it
started losing it's leaves and has continued to lose leaves all throughout the
winter. Have I killed it?? Or will the leaves re-grow?
AnswerHi Lyn, Crotons are pretty resilient, and if they shed their leaves its usually because of either scale (insect) or over watering; other causes could be a cold snap or something inadvertently leaching into the adjacent soil. Scratch the main stem and see if the Cambium (underneath the bark) layer is still green, if so, it should be ok, if it is brown, then the plant is dead. Nick
