Question
We chopped down two large palms and had the tree stumps ground to mulch.  Can we use it as mulch on garden beds?

Hi Sandie,..It will make a fine underliner to hold down weed development, but I would lay a standard mulch over the top, for it will decompose pretty quickly; the nice thing is, as it decomposes it will help build up the soil nutrients. Many people use ground up Palms, or trees for that matter, in their compost bins, and then spread the compost around the planting areas. Nick
