QuestionHi I've found a beautiful little banzai bougainvillea that had many blossoms on it when I purchased it at Home Depot. It was very expensive but Both my wife and myself loved it. We asked about how to care for it and was told to give it a lot of light and very little water. Being Sebastian Fla we had plenty of sun and made sure we placed the plant outside during the day and inside at night. it fared well for two days and then down hill thereafter. No, not the plant itself, but all the blossoms fell off in a day. What can we do to get the flowers back? Thanks for your help.

AnswerHi Sal, it sounds like it may have shocked from a location change, providing you didn't apply too much irrigation and I assume you didn't per the salespersons advice. Bougs do need water, but not as much as normal plants; bright sunlight for most the day is the ticket to maintaining good health. Hopefully your Boug will send out new growth before long and adjust to its new environment; outside during the day and in at night is fine as long as it isn't subjected to extreme changes. Give it several weeks to refurbish itself and no water until something shows, then get back to me and let me know how its faring. Nick
