We are building a house in Malaysia and like to include in the bar area a palm or other tree (about 10-12 feet). The area is open but there is no sunlight from the top. We are not sure what is meant with indirect light. Would florescent light from the top be sufficient? We appreciate your advice.

Hi Rainer, indirect light by definition is referring to sunlight that finds its way to the plant by illumination not direct contact; your lighting limits your choices, but one that will suffice in that location would be "Lady Palm", if you research it, you will find it a very attractive palm that will fill your needs.
