my palm is dying and has a sticky substance on the leaves.
it has spread to my other palm.  What is it and what can I do to save them.  Thank you!!  Colleen

Hi Colleen, it is a common occurrence, what you are seeing is secretions from small insects, almost microscopic, probably spider mites; put some isopropyl alcohol in a spray container and spray down your palms with it, then let it sit for about 4-6 hours, then take it outside and wash the palm down, getting all the dead mites, secretions and residual alcohol off.
