Question
I'm in the Houston area, and from hurricane Ike, I've got a queen palm basically bent over at the top such that the new growth is at roughly a 45 degree angle.  It's been 3 months now, should I expect the top will straighten itself back out over time ?  It's a roughly 10-12 diamter trunk.

Hi Mike, unfortunately it won't, it will stay at that angle but will snake vertically again, but the bent section will stay bent; I have a large Queen that Charlie bent at the base and what happened is the top began to grow vertically, and now I have a unique looking specimen, kinda grows on ya though.. lol....Nick
