Question
I need to transplant the above asap and need advice on how to do this.  It is rather large with a trunk diameter of about 14 inches.  Thanks.

Hi Wendy, when you say transplant I assume you mean relocate, and this will be difficult given the size and dimensions of the Banana; Underground is a large root rhizome called a Corm, it is like a big potato that has fibrous roots and it is extremely heavy. I wouldn't give good odds at being able to do this without damaging the plant, what I would give good odds at is transplanting some of the pups that should be attached to the sides of the Corm. Let me know if there are pups and how big they are so I can better advise you...Nick
