Question
I live in the Tampa area and my palm plant has a fungus which I know from reading here needs to be sprayed with a copper fungicide but my question is,"Is it contagious to other plants,palms or other kinds?"

Hi Liza, fungal problems and nutrient deficiencies are not contagious,but if one specimen suffers, chances are others will also; I am inclined to think that you have a nutrient deficiency rather then a fungal problem. Fertilize it 3 times a year with a well balanced palm fertilizer with all the macro and micro nutrients; Palms do suffer from fungal diseases, but more often then not it is a nutrient problem. Nick
