QuestionI have had this plant for about 7 years. It used to be about 2 1/5' and very full. It is not about 4' and very sparse with a lot of new sprout growth at the base. I repot, meaning use new potting soil every year. I appears healthy other than not being very full. Is there a particular way I should be pruning the height to make the plant fuller?
AnswerHi Pam, there really isn't anything you can do to force it to fill out, it will eventually send out new growth on its own, but this will take place when the plant is ready. Rubber trees react to various changes in its surrounding by shedding leaves, this is common, so I wouldn't be too concerned, but be sure to be careful when watering, they really react to too much water.
