Thanks for your response. I am actually watering every 1.5-2 weeks because I queried earlier with some symptoms and they suggested I was watering too much. They are planted on either side of our front door. There are two sidelight windows so they get good indirect light. We don't use the door often so no real temp changes. I am very confused about watering as I wait till the top couple inches feel dry but I worry about too much moisture around root ball. They are in ceramic planters with drain holes.

...check the soil ball in the ceramic container, often it becomes  compacted and as you water the center section does not benefit and the water simply takes the path of least resistance and runs down the sides and out the holes; other then that everything seems within parameters...Nick
