Is is possible to keep a Mandevilla Plant alive over the winter in Illinois.  If possible how?

I get this question often, and depending how deep the ground freezes in your area will determine whether you can prune it back and mulch it over heavily; if the root system doesn't freeze then it should re sprout in the spring. The only other thing you can do is prune it back and pot it up and treat it as a house plant for 5 months, it won't be happy but it will make it. Nick
