Question
My plant is inside a pool enclosure. It's about 12 feet tall. I need to cut it back to about 6 to 8 foot. If I cut the thick hard stalk about 3 to 4 foot tall will it branch out from where I cut it or will it die at the cut?

Hi Dave, it won't, I'll explain, Birds grow from underground corms, and when you cut one out, its merely replaced by another from the root system (corm), so in your case, cut the tallest one at soil level and the others will continue to grow, this way you keep it under control. Nick
