QuestionI was given an aloe plant, but the leaves are very flat, not full of sap like I am used to. I water it about twice a month. Is it just the type of plant that it is or am I doing something wrong?
AnswerHi Liz, there are different varieties, some are flat, but have the same substance when cut, but not the quanity; as long as its healthy and not drying up it can still be used as you need it. Aloe likes a dappled shade and ample irrigation, fertilizing on a monthly basis with a soluble like Peters or Miracle Grow is all it needs. Nick
