QuestionI live in the central US and started elephant ear bulbs in pots in my family room til they sprouted. I want to put them in the ground now but am afraid it will hurt them. Any adivce?
Many are leafing out. Thanks.
AnswerHi Sallie, you can, but they are cold sensitive, and winter will do them in, ( central U.S.), my suggestion is to transplant them to large decorative pots, then you can put the containers out (shady area) and then move them in for the winter; Elephant ears like lots of water and fertilizer, and mist the leaves frequently.
