queen palm transplant shock

Question
I dug up 3 10-15 queen palms from across town. Cut through most roots but left about 8-16" on all of them. Brought home dug holes conditioned soil with palm soil. planted watering daily. Added b1 to help with shock. Most of the fronds are all wilted and turning brown, some even all brown. A few greenish yellow still remain. Its been 2-3 weeks since and I'm wondering if I've lost them? How long will shock last? and should I trim the dead fronds off? I need help...
THANK YOU

Answer
Jeff, not a good sign that most the existing fronds turned brown, they would have wilted somewhat and a few of the lower ones would have browned out, but not all of them; the tale of the tape though is in the new emerging sword, wait and see if the remaining green yellow ones turn brown and that sword turns brown without opening, then it is indeed a failed endeavor.
