Question
I recently purchased a small blue java (about 4ft). Is there any way I can keep this plant fairly small (less than 10 ft) so I can keep it inside my house?

Hi Amanda, this is known as an Ice Cream Banana and grows upwards of 12 feet with an extensive root corm; It is not well suited at all for container growing (most Bananas aren't for that matter); my advice is place it outside in the ground (if you are zone 9 or higher that is). It will grow initially in the container,  but will develop problems down the road, which you will not be able to overcome. Nick:)
