QuestionI have one of them small palm tree in the house and I had it for about 2 years, it was fine till I started forgetting about it and not watering it at all. There were times where he didn't receive water for 3-4 weeks? I started watering it again. I noticed in the past that the leaves or such had some white dots on them. Today most leaves were dried brown and only 3 were sort of green. I took it outside in the garden left it outside because it's not cold now-a-days and added some lawn food, gave it plenty of water and took the bottom off so in case I gave it too much water it can drain. Is there a chance to get the tree back or should I throw it away. Is this like a rosebush, you can remove dead leaves and new ones will grow? Thank you for any feedback
AnswerIt sounds like the neglect may have done it in Matt, but what you have done is correct, now it is up to the palm to recuperate; no is the answer to the last question, Palms need all of their fronds intact to feed itself. Keep it in a shady area until (if) growth begins, the one watering is plenty until it dries out, then water again. regards Nick
