Questionmy sago palms are planted in large pots, they are turning brown and look unhealthy, my neighbor has hers in the ground and hers is nice and green what do i need to do?
AnswerHi Ginger, it sounds like they have been in those containers too long without being changed out (soil change); often when a plant (especially one that really shouldn't be in a container) is in a container too long, it becomes compacted (the root system), and when you water it, the water doesn't pervade the whole root system. I would take them out of the container and repot them with new medium and a couple of inches of drainage gravel on the bottom...regards Nick:)
