QuestionI purchased two plants, in 10" pots and are about 24" tall, in late summer. I keep them indoors. One has broad yellow to green leaves and is doing fine. The other has 2 'wide 6 'long red to green leaves. The leaves are falling off and now I see white powder spots on the remaining leaves. There are only a few leaves left. Can I save this plant? Is there special care for each of these? They add a lot to the room and I would like bring this one back. Thank you
AnswerIt sounds like it may be having a fungal problem or possibly what you describe could also be spider mites; spray them with a fungicide/insecticide product called "Organocide", wait a day and wash off the leaves; keep them misted occasionally to keep mites at bay. Nick
