QuestionHow do you reproduce bouganvilla, not produce more blooms, but actually a second plant? I live in southwest florida.
AnswerHi Brandy, I live here also,,,nice now isn't it? ok, the easiest way is to take a lower branch and about a foot from the end, bruise it, scrape the bark off for a couple of inches, then bury that portion in the ground right by the mother plant; it will take several months this time of year (colder nights) but it will send out roots from the bruise. Another way is to take a tip cutting and root it in some damp vermiculite, (after dipping the cutting in a rooting hormone). Nick
