AnswerHi Tina, ok,Bougs can be difficult to propagate, they take a long time to root; the easiest way is to scrape a lower branch, and then put the bruised area under the soil still attached to the mother; in about 6 weeks it will have rooted and you just cut it before the roots from the mother and plant it. The traditional method is to cut about a 6 inch semi hard piece, strip all the leaves off and apply a rooting hormone, then put the cutting in vermiculite or perlite with a misting tent over it to keep the crown from drying. good luck Nick
