QuestionHi,
I just bought two white birds of paradise that are 6 feet tall and would like to plant them together in the same pot to keep indoors. What is the best size pot to plant them in if they were each originally in a 10inch pot and doI put soil in the entire pot or put rocks in the bottom to give it drainage. Basically any extra information would be great since I do not know what I am doing.
Thank you!
AnswerHi, the white bird gets pretty big, and really prefers to be in the ground because of its large root system, but if you want to contain it, a very large decorative pot with lining on the bottom to prevent root rot (from sitting in water) will suffice. They are heavy feeders but in a container you will need to be careful of causing a salt build up so be prepared to change out the soil periodically. Keep it damp but not wet and mist the leaves frequently. Nick
