I have a garden in the tropics  (16 degrees N) and have ficus running wild. Will fruiting figs grow and is it possible to graft fruiting figs onto "wild" ficus

Michael, if you have "Ficus Benjamina" running wild, then no, it is not a fruiting variety; here in Florida, its unlawful to grow this tree in the ground, you can only grow it in a container because of it invasiveness. I would purchase a fruiting variety (there are many nice ones) and begin to try to contain the wild ones before they overtake your property. Nick
