Sea Grape propagation by cuttings

Question
I've read that it is possible to propagate sea grape by cuttings, but I've never had any success. I soak a fresh-cut branch overnight in a solution of root stimulator, then plant it in a pot or in ground. The branches that I've tried range between 2" and 4". I water them every few days and no success. I've had success with numerous other plants, like dracynia using this method. I've got some SG seedlings growing, but they take so long... Could you enlighten me on what I may be doing wrong? Thank you so much in advance!

Answer
Nate, normally down here where I live in Florida, we propagate by seeds; I can't say I have ever tried by cuttings, but from what I researched, you can do it by ripe cuttings, that is to say, seasoned wood; I would treat the cutting with a root hormone (rootone) and place it in a moist medium, then be very patient and don't be deterred by leaf drop...good luck Nick
