QuestionMy plant has been growing strong in San Diego California for
almost three years. Until just recently. It stopped putting out new
growth, and the leaves started to burn around the edges.
I water it regularly, and was just wondering what I can do to stop
the leaves from burning.
AnswerI am no expert with these plants. I will take a stab at it.
It could be one of two things. Direct light (this may burn leaves) or the soil has turned acidic. If it is getting direct sun light try moving it to an area where it gets bright indirect light. Many times tropicals cannot handle direct sun on their leaves. Especially in the hot afternoon hours. Try repotting it in fresh soil. It could also be fertlizer burn. This depends on how much you fertlize. Just follow the package directions and it should be fine.
I wish I could help you further.
