QuestionMy corn plant is thriving and is at least 6 ft. tall, but my problem is why won't the roots take hold very well? There are 3 stalks but they are continuously falling over to the point I just tied twine arould them all to keep them standing. I can tell that at any time I could undo the twine & they will fall over. The plant is standing against a corner in our house. What is the answer?
Thanks,

AnswerIf you have repotted it recently you need to give it time to grow a bigger root system to keep it in place. Feeding with a high nitrogen fertlizer once a week might help this process along. I recommend fish emulsion. It may take a month or two for the roots to stabilize the plant.
Happy Growing
