QuestionMy friend has recently purchased an indoor 6 feet tall banana plant which is located at a south window on the 2nd floor (so it gets direct light in the morning and the afternoon).
Can you please advise us on how best to keep it healthy? We know very little about it.
Thanks so much.
AnswerHello Stephen,
Bananas can be difficult to grow indoors. They require a lot of sun, humidity and heat. They also require a lot of moisture so make sure your banana never dries out. Feed them every 3 to 4 weeks with a 15-30-15 according to label directions. Keep the plant away from cold drafts from air conditioning vents. Bananas grow best outdoors during the summer in a semi-sunny location.
