QuestionHi vito,
I live in Hong Kong in a small apartment. I have this passion flower plant in a pot in my window box which i bought last year. It flowered a lot last year but this year its not beraing any flowers at all. It's growing, but the leaves got a lot smaller, but the whole plant is generally very green and no yellow leaves. Will it everr flower again?
I have some caladiums and purple oxalis in the same sill they seem to love the climate and have been growing like a weed. would that be useful for your judgement as an indication of the environment?
The climate here is warm and humid, subtropical, like 27-33c and 88-90 % humidity in summer, rains a lot, very strong sunshine and we have long summer. winter its drier, like 55-75% humidity and cooler with the lowest of 9c but not often.
thanx for your help
i Really Really anxious and hope that it will grow.
Solomon
AnswerHi Solomon,
Oxalis and caladium do well in the shade but passion flower needs sun in order to bloom well. I would suggest you try and give it more sun, prune it back a bit and give it some liquid fertilizer if you haven't done so already. In time it will come into bloom again if the plant is healthy.
Regards,
Vito
